Action Day
Castle Combe
Saturday 11th June 2005

For the last 18 months, all of the Castle Combe “Action days” and Motorsport Events airfield days which I’ve been to in my Westfield have been pouring with rain.  The previous one was at Combe in April when many of us splashed around the circuit.  This has given me the reputation of being a “Rain God” and people ask me if I’m attending such and such an event in order to determine if they’ll bother attending a wet day!  So, as my engine was out of the car and hence I couldn’t come to the 2nd Castle Combe “Action day” of the year, dry weather was guaranteed.  And so it transpired.  Saturday June 11th at Combe was beautiful.  The sun shone all day & the Bristol & Bath WSCC area was very well represented.  An added bonus was that the driving standards of the other track goers seemed to have improved, with no evidence of wacky-racing (at least when the Westfields were out).
