October 12th 2008 - Lola 50th Anniversary

I'll admit to not knowing much about this company, but this is their 50th birthday. It was a cracking day and, as their site is only up the road from me, I thought I'd pop along with another Cambs member (SparkyB) and take some piccies. The sound of the cars was fantastic, but it was over all too quickly. Thirty minutes of standing about for two minutes (if that) of race cars coming past, one after another, in quick succession. they did park up in Hunitngdon town centre, but I don't think Huntingdon has ever seen that many people in one place. It was impossible to get near the cars and even if I could, I'd never have got any decent pictures anyway. Mark returned later on, but I'll have to see if he forwards any of his photo's.

Still... I went home and went for a drive in my Westfield. It seems like we've had more of a Summer in the past month than we actually had a Summer!
