WE MEET ON THE LAST THURSDAY OF THE MONTH AT THE CLOCK AT SHARDLOW

THE NORTHERN SECTION MEET ON THE 2nd THURSDAY OF THE MONTH AT THE HUT, RAVENSHEAD

As you approach Shardlow from the A50 carry on over the River and the Clock is on the left approx ½ mile along on the left.

Next meetings will be on Thursday 23rd Feb at the Clock

and Thursday 9th Feb at the Hut, Ravenshead.

 

LATEST AREA NEWS

The January meeting also kicked off the 2012 calendar of events with a very well received talk by Ash Mason WSCC member, ex Speed Series contender and Bentley Motors competition project manager. The runs on the ice were amazing... 205 mph on road tyres and no studs. -36 degrees as well!!!

We are continuing the theme on the Feb meeting with a talk by David Brown from JCB who was Chief Engineer on the Diesel powered land speed record attempt. The car was driven at speeds in excess of 300 mph by Andy Green. The location was Bonneville salt flats as far different as you can get from the frozen sea off Finland. Hope to see you there.
